New Windows UI in the works?

Mark Hamburg, who has been working on Adobe's Photoshop since 1990 until he decided to create Adobe's Lightroom, has apparently been hired to work on "user experience" for Microsoft Windows.

"Given that I find the current Windows experience really annoying and yet I keep having to deal with it, this opportunity was a little too interesting to turn down. I can't imagine doing serious imaging anywhere other than Adobe, but I needed to do something other than imaging for a while."

I think it's about time we saw some major innovations in desktop UI.
